Project Components
Introduction
AR Neuro was a multifaceted project that involved building an interactive prototype to aid in a design study with nursing students at SUNY Ulster's Nursing College in Stone Ridge, NY. Components of the prototype included an interactive interface on an Android Device and videos of a 3D rendered simulation manikin head and face that was animated to simulate neurological conditions. Working with faculty and staff, this prototype was tested and data was gather on instructors and students' opinions, feelings, and needs to move the project into phase 2. At this point in the project, AR Neuro is moving into full backend development in order to develop the code to run on Android and IOS devices.
Proposal
Proposal and literature review.
User Interface Design and Research
User interface/wireframe design for AR prototype.
The development of the AR Neuro application was developed using a method of user experience research and design. The prototype was developed using Adobe XD and MIT App Inventor. Before beginning the design, time was spent on site in the simulation center to evaluate the simulation manikins and training environment.
Presentation, Research
Presentation of prototype and findings from demonstration and survey study at SUNY Ulster.
